"Really fun birthday spot for kids"
We had my son’s birthday party here and the kids had such a blast feeding the animals. The staff was really nice too, even though check-in was a little hectic since it was busy. Overall it was a super fun day. Also, goats are absolute chaos and I respect them.

"Left Feeling a Little Worried"
I went to the Austin Aquarium and left feeling kind of uneasy. A few of the tanks didn’t look super clean, and some of the animals seemed stressed or just really inactive. The staff I talked to were nice, but it didn’t really feel like the animals were getting as much attention as they should. Maybe I just caught them on an off day, but for what it costs to get in, I expected things to look a lot better. I’m not sure I’d go back.

"Decent parking, but I expected a little better"
I usually have a good experience here, so I’ll admit I was a little disappointed with the parking this time. It was close enough once I found a spot, but the lot filled up fast and I had to circle around for a bit. Not a dealbreaker, but as someone who keeps coming back, I was hoping it would be a little smoother.

"Finally, an easy day out with the kids"
The kids absolutely loved it, thank goodness because planning family days can be such a headache. This place made it super easy to keep them happy without me running around stressed the whole time.

"Felt really comfortable having the kids there"
We had a really nice visit. I noticed the staff were keeping an eye on the animal areas and, from the way they handled things, it seemed like they’re used to spotting when kids are getting a little too excited before it becomes a problem. They showed everyone how to touch the animals safely instead of just assuming people would figure it out on their own. It made the whole place feel calm, and I felt relaxed being there with the kids.

"The staff were friendly and seemed like..."
The staff were friendly and seemed like decent people, but the visit felt rushed. I didn’t hate it or anything, but it kinda felt like they were just trying to get me in and out as fast as possible, which was a bit lame.

"Long wait, but it wasn’t all bad"
Went on a Saturday and the line was annoying. It felt like we were standing around forever, which kind of put me in a bad mood at first. To be fair, the staff did keep things moving as best they could, so it wasn’t a total mess, but the wait definitely stood out more than anything else.

"Fun visit, but it got expensive fast"
We had a good time at the Austin Aquarium overall. The kids were into seeing the animals up close, and they had fun doing a couple of the feedings.

The main thing is that the cost really adds up. The tickets already felt a little pricey, and then you have to buy tokens for feedings and extra stuff, so it ended up being more than I expected. Some of the areas also felt kind of small for what you’re paying, and that part was weird.

It’s not a bad place, and I’m glad we went once, but I don’t think it was the best value for the money. I’d probably only go back if there was a discount or some kind of deal day.

"Really fun animal encounters"
We went with my kids last weekend, and the animal encounters were easily the highlight. Feeding the stingrays was so cool, and my son somehow had zero fear touching a snake, which surprised all of us.

The staff was really nice and explained things in a way that was interesting without feeling like a school lecture. It did get a little crowded, but we still had a great time. For some reason I keep remembering that one stingray kept splashing like it was annoyed we were taking too long with the food

"I’m not totally sure if it was..."
I’m not totally sure if it was just today, but the place felt kind of run down to me. The tanks looked dirty, or at least dirtier than I remember.

"Fun animals, but the cleanliness was disappointing"
We enjoyed seeing the animals, and that part was fun, but the place didn’t feel as clean as it should have. A few tanks had cloudy water, there were sticky spots on the floor, and the smell was hard to ignore. The staff seemed fine, but it’s not really right to have animals and paying visitors in a space that feels neglected. Cleanliness should be a basic responsibility, and it made the whole visit less enjoyable for us...

"Crowded, but I guess that’s expected"
It was way too packed for me to really enjoy much. I kept trying to make the best of it, and at first I thought maybe it was just a busy moment, but no, it stayed crowded the whole time. The staff seemed like they were doing what they could, actually maybe they were just overwhelmed, because there were people everywhere.

"I’d say don’t go in expecting a..."
I’d say don’t go in expecting a huge aquarium experience. It felt small to me, and a lot of the tanks seemed like more of the same after a while. If you’re nearby or going with young kids, it might still be worth a quick stop, but I probably wouldn’t plan a whole trip around it.
